‘THE BOY WITH THE ARAB STRAP’ LIMITED 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION LP OUT NOW
We are happy to report that after a short break, Belle and Sebastian are back on the road. And, what’s more, that the band will return to North America this spring with a coast-to-coast run of dates kicking off in Atlanta on April 23 and wrapping up in Seattle on May 19th. Along the way, they’ll be supported by Haley Heynderickx and The Weather Station. Find a complete itinerary below.
The group is presently operating in peak form and their summer UK dates have drawn high praise. “Belle and Sebastian have expanded into a multilayered outfit dabbling in a cornucopia of styles,’ wrote the Times following the band’s two-night run at London’s Roundhouse. “Against all odds, [they] have evolved into something brazen and unpredictable.”
In December, Belle and Sebastian will cap off their UK touring with two sold-out dates at the Paisley Town Hall. Both nights will be filmed, allowing fans the opportunity to take part in Belle and Sebastian recorded history.
Earlier this month, Belle and Sebastian celebrated the 25th anniversary of its cherished third album, ‘The Boy With the Arab Strap,’ (1998) with a limited edition reissue featuring blue vinyl and blue-tinted cover art.
Back in January, the group released ‘Late Developers,’ the second of two back-to-back albums following last year’s ‘A Bit of Previous.’ It is a full-hearted embrace of the band’s brightest tendencies that is not only fresh and immediate, but possessing that B&S je ne sais quoi – the feeling that the group will always be there for you with the perfect word or melody for the moment. “Like If You’re Feeling Sinister, this is a near-simultaneous follow-up that’s somehow even better than its acclaimed predecessor,” wrote Pitchfork.
