Artist Management Assistant (Los Angeles, CA)

Red Light Management, one of the world’s leading independent music management companies, is seeking a highly organized, proactive Artist Management Assistant to join our Electronic Music department.

This full-time, hybrid position is based in Los Angeles, with a combination of work-from-home and in-office days at our Century City office. Working directly with the Head of Electronic Music and his team, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys keeping people and projects organized, and has a genuine passion for music.

Responsibilities

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Manage the Head of Electronic’s calendar, scheduling meetings, calls, and events across multiple time zones.
  • Coordinate internal and external meeting invites and recurring department meetings.
  • Assist with travel coordination and logistical planning as needed.
  • Prepare, submit, reconcile, and track expense reports through Concur.
  • Maintain contact databases, calendars, and recurring reminders.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively solve logistical issues.

Department Operations

  • Maintain department files, folders, spreadsheets, and organizational systems across Google Workspace, Dropbox, and other platforms.
  • Organize and update shared documents, internal trackers, and department resources.
  • Assist with recurring administrative projects and department reporting.
  • Help coordinate office meetings, conference room bookings, and team logistics.
  • Provide general administrative support across the Electronic department as needed.

Project Coordination

  • Track deadlines, follow-ups, and ongoing projects across the department.
  • Assist with research, presentation materials, and internal reports.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to help keep projects on schedule.
  • Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of assistant and/or music industry experience preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Zoom.
  • Passion for music and an interest in artist management and the live entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Coordinator, Digital Marketing (Los Angeles)

The Digital Marketing Coordinator position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent copy editing skills, and organization. You will work with our managers and our Digital Marketing team to coordinate the successful execution of various campaigns across all digital channels. You will be helping to market tours, recorded music, artist merch and other projects. Success in this position requires excellent time management, the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, a high level of comfort navigating all personality types and work-styles and most importantly a passion for music. This job is fueled by creativity, innovation, ambition, organization and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Job Functions:

  • Represent our artists on social media by helping to create and share content on all platforms to promote new music, touring and meet all other promotional needs. You should be a social media native and familiar with how Meta, X, YouTube and other platforms work. This requires an extremely high level of detail and
  • Help provide reporting / insights / analytics for clients and managers that track audience growth and measure results.
  • Help maintain the Red Light Management website news and artist roster.
  • Compile reports and manage schedules for the digital team and managers
  • Submit support tickets to various digital platforms on behalf of clients and managers.
  • Be able to communicate and work closely with the rest of the digital team, artists, managers, labels, agents and promoters to help ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Help to maintain artist website news and tour date listings.
  • Schedule and announce tour dates as needed across platforms.
  • Draft email marketing newsletters
  • Make adjustments and reformat digital marketing assets using image editing software (Photoshop etc.)
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technology
  • Work to support the digital strategy department by helping to compile reports, presentations and updates that keep our clients and managers informed.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all major digital marketing channels for artists, social channels, features and a general understanding of the digital artist marketing eco-system.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • A passion for learning new skills in real time. You should be comfortable with using available online resources and tutorials to help hone your skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with other team members.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Passion for working in music across genres.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or equivalent image editing software required – the more experience you have with visual content creation is a major plus!
  • Experience building decks and presentations using Powerpoint or Keynote
  • Comfortable using Excel and/or Airtable.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and operate effectively in a fast paced environment.

Experience:

  • Requires attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to stay self-motivated and deliver on tasks with little supervision.
  • Requires the ability to reason and foster decision making skills while working through day-to-day work solutions
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to non-standard working hours due to the nature of the music industry.

Salary range for this role is $55-$65k per year, commensurate with experience. Standard benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k employer matching.

Accounting Assistant (Charlottesville)

The RLM Accounting Assistant will be responsible for the following items-

  • Accounts Receivable Support
    • Ensure revenue items are posted correctly and in a timely manner.
    • Emphasis on posting priority client revenue items.
  • Concur + Expense Processing
    • Work with team to assist in managing Employees’ timely submission of Expense Reports
    • Daily Review + Processing of Reports in the approval process
  • Artist Billbacks
    • Weekly preparation and distribution of pre-bill reports for managerial approval
    • Creation and submission of approved invoices to respective clients
    • Processing of AR adjustments for changes in billing
    • Performing timely follow-ups on outstanding invoices to support team with effective collections
  • Accounts Payable Activities
    • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate check payments.
    • Verify and reconcile payment documentation and vendor records to ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Accounts Receivable Support

Requirements:

  • Proficiency working with various accounting systems and Excel (as well as the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, timely, and professionally
  • Experience working with SAP Concur Expense, QuickBooks, and Sage Intacct (Preferred)
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with well-developed critical thinking skills and ability to independently analyze complex data sets.

Silverback Music and Red Light Management are looking for an experienced marketing & creative manager to report to senior managers for an established music roster and record label.

  • Knowledge and a passion for music of all genres particularly alternative, hip hop and reggae.
  • Manage creative and marketing asset development for tours, single/album releases, merch, festivals
  • Graphic design, video editing, project management, and social media experience.
  • Experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 3+ years in a similar role, at a music management company or label.
  • This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position is full-time and based out of Los Angeles, CA but open to remote work.

 RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creative Project Management
    • Coordinate with illustrators, designers, animators and video editors to create high quality digital content, show posters, tour art, merch designs, album covers, etc.
