Following the announcement Leeds’ Kaiser Chiefs re-signed with Polydor Records, the band has announced a run of headline shows in January & February 2019. The band has also confirmed they’re back in the studio working on their 7th studio album with producer Ben H Allen III, the producer who worked on Kaiser Chiefs’ UK number 1 album ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ – alongside records with Gnarls Barkley, Cee-Lo, Walk The Moon, Animal Collective amongst others.

Emerging from Leeds in 2003, Kaiser Chiefs are one of the leading British bands of this generation. Fronted by the charismatic Ricky Wilson with Simon Rix on bass, ‘Whitey’ on guitar, ‘Peanut’ on keyboards and drummer Vijay Mistry, the band has had a string of anthemic smash hits such as ‘Oh My God’, ‘I Predict A Riot’, ‘Everyday I Love You Less and Less’, ‘Never Miss A Beat’ and ‘Hole In My Soul.’

The band has released 6 original studio albums, including their Mercury Nominated debut, ‘Employment’ which has sold close to 4million copies to date, It’s number 1 follow up, ‘Yours Truly, Angry Mob’, which went three times-platinum in the UK alone and ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ which entered the UK Album Charts at number 1. They have achieved numerous top ten singles including the infamous number 1 Hit Single ‘Ruby,’ 3 Brit Awards, an Ivor Novello Award for Album of the Year, Toured with U2, Foo Fighters and Green Day and sold 8 million albums worldwide

The band has returned to their original label home, Polydor, with whom they released their first 4 albums.
Alongside Kaiser Chiefs 7th studio album, frontman Ricky Wilson continues to grow his Broadcasting and TV career fronting and hosting shows such as The One Show and Celebrity Juice, and this year presenting Saturday’s Breakfast Show and Weekday Drivetime on BBC Radio 2 – following a three year stint as a coach on The Voice.
