Rising singer/songwriter Tucker Beathard is driving his “meteoric rise” (MSN/Wonderwall) even further with the release of his FIGHT LIKE HELL EP, available today here, as the EP shot to No. One on iTunes Country Chart this morning on its opening day. Making an impression as “the new country voice that is stopping fans in their tracks” (RARE), Beathard co-wrote every track on the EP, and played both lead guitar and drums on the release that showcases his diversity and depth as a musician. Billboard calls attention to the “smart pieces from a singular mind, the kind of material that comes from someone who marches to his own drum and mines that perspective for his worldview.”

Rolling Stone is exclusively spotlighting the EP’s title track, “a tough modern rocker that also has a softer side,” here. The 6-track set also features Beathard’s current Top 5 single, “Rock On,” as well as “I’ll Take On The World With You,” a “sweet ode” (Parade) illustrating the strong Beathard family bond, while “Momma & Jesus” is a riff-driven rocker. “I think each song tells a bit more about me and shows a different side of me,” said Beathard. “It’s been fun seeing the response to ‘Rock On’ and how everyone from the fans to radio have embraced it. Becoming known for “lyrics [that] are personal, but accessible” (Taste Of Country), Beathard’s relentless nature is demonstrated by the staggering number of live shows he has played this year, closing in on almost 200 performances. Beathard will kick off his first-ever headlining ROCK ON COLLEGE TOUR with special guest Aubrie Sellers next week in Champaign, IL on 10/13, and with a family history steeped in football, the string of dates will hit “Big Ten Conference” towns. Beathard will also return to Europe for the second time this year, for headlining dates beginning in Dublin, IE on 12/3.
